RoomMatching uses AI and psychology-related tests to bring together students and roommates who really fit together. This makes the process of finding a new roommate easier and faster. We asked two of the founders 6 questions.
1. What is your value proposition?
We strive to bring students together within the student housing market to achieve a cozy environment where people can feel at home.
2. What is your mission?
As a student, I experienced firsthand that it can be very difficult to find the right room. The demand for rooms is very high so you just have to accept what you can get. There is also little transparency in the market and that needs to be addressed and changed.
3. How did Mercator Launch help you?
Mercator Launch guided us through the first steps of starting our own company. They helped us write a business plan and get our financial matters in order. In addition to this, Mercator Launch also gave us the opportunity to expand our network and meet new people who can help us with our company.
4. What are the future plans for RoomMatching?
For me, Roommatching will be a success when students are able to find a room quicker and when they are content with their rooms.
5. What do you need to make this happen?
What we need is national awareness of our platform. This will help us get more users. To achieve this, we need a good marketing campaign.
6. If you can give one piece of advice to future entrepreneurs, what would it be?
My tip would be to work together with a fun and motivated team.
