What is your value proposition?
With our particle detector we want to make air pollution visible, offer people the opportunity to take effective measures against polluted indoor air and thus create a healthy working and living environment for everyone.
Good to know: our particle detector measures the amount of coarse particulate matter (PM10) and the amount of fine particulate matter (PM2.5).
What is your mission?
Our mission is to create a healthy working and living environment for everyone. If you would want to have an insight in your air quality, nowadays only scientific instruments are available. We offer not only a detection value, but also give a solution by advising though our application.
How did Mercator Launch help you?
As a team we have completed the improve program at Mercator Launch and that was very informative and inspiring! The Mercator Launch team has helped us with drawing up our business plan, especially in fine-tuning the financial paragraph, and the Gelderland Valoriseert loan application. And if we have any questions I know I can always ask them for advice or help. Getting feedback from experts with a fresh perspective is very valuable!
What are the future plans for Aerocount?
Our short-term goal is to start our production process and kick off with our first launching customers. We want to be and stay realistic, but in the future we hope to have a substantial market share in the consumer market of particulate detectors.
What do you need to make this happen?
We have just received a loan with which we can start our first production series. We are still exploring the world of marketing and sales. For this we are in contact with experts, but additional advice is always helpful. We are very grateful to all the people that helped us get to where we are today.
What tip would you offer other entrepreneurs?
Do something you really like and see how far you get. If you don’t like what you do, you won’t get very far. And if you don’t try, that’s a real shame. So, don’t be afraid. Just do it!
